Get the training you need to be a successful condominium director!
Condominium directors have important responsibilities. That’s why CCI has offered a Condominium Director Certificate Program to provide condominium directors with a general understanding of their obligations, establish best practices for good governance, and foster a positive community culture. The training consists of 8 courses.
You will receive a certificate of completion upon completing each course. You can take one, or as many as you like. To receive the Condominium Director Certificate, you must complete all eight courses.
About the coursesThe CCI Condominium Director Certificate is an Ontario-wide program that provides students with the skills they need to be successful condominium directors. Eight fundamental courses are required for this certificate, which can be delivered through your local chapter or accessed by any of our eight chapters across the province!

105 – Reserve Fund Fundamentals (February 4th – 7:00 PM)
Sara Finoro, B.A.(H), OLCM, RCM, LCCI
Sara Finoro, B.A.(H), OLCM, RCM, LCCI, joined Five Rivers Property Management in 2011 and is one of their VPs and Shareholders. Sara has been a member of the Grand River Chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute’s Communications Committee for over a decade, sits on the Board of Directors.
James Armstrong
James is an industry professional with over 20 years specialized in Ontario in Reserve Fund Studies, Performance Audits and Property Condition Assessment.
James is a shareholder and practice lead at Edison Engineers having joined over 10 years ago.
James has been involved in Reserve Fund Studies ranging from Vacant Land or Common Element Corporations through to large, multi tower Corporations with complex shared facilities. James also serves on the Board at the Corporation where he lives.
106 – Meeting Fundamentals (February 11 – 7:00 PM)
Corey Sargeant
Corey Sargeant is the President of G3 Property Solutions Ltd. which is a full service management company serving southwestern Ontario through offices in London and Brantford, Ontario. He is an active participant in various CCI Chapters across southwestern Ontario and has contributed to various publications and speaking engagements within the industry.
Michelle Kelly
Michelle Kelly is a partner at Robson Carpenter LLP. She assists condominiums throughout Ontario with a range of condominium issues. Michelle previously served as a director for the Grand River, Golden Horseshoe and London chapters of CCI. She recently served as a court-appointed administrator for a condominium in Toronto. She enjoys travelling and spends most of her spare time watching her kids play baseball or do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
107 – Records, Returns and Certificate Fundamentals (February 18 – 7:00 PM)
Elliot Shermet
Elliot Shermet is a fully licensed condominium manager, and the principal property manager of Green Brick Property Management Ltd. In 2021, he was recognized by ACMO with the Genesis Award for Exceptional Service. He has featured as a guest columnist in CM Magazine and continues to build his expertise through trainings offered by ACMO, CCI and CMRAO. Prior to building his career in condo management, he worked extensively in operations, logistics, and team coordination; always with a commitment to exceptional customer service. As CEO of Green Brick, he is particularly proud of the company’s affiliation with the BETTER WAY ALLIANCE, an ethical employer organization.
Jennifer Beaver
Jennifer leads CIE Property Management with purpose: to build strong, thriving communities by supporting the people who both live and work in them. With a background in Human Resources and Corporate Property Management, she brings a people-first approach to her leadership. Jennifer is known for her collaborative style, transparent communication, and commitment to integrity.
She has been in the industry for almost 20 years and thoroughly enjoys coaching Boards and Managers through change and challenges. Jennifer has been a contributing member of multiple CCI chapters over the years through speaking and moderating various educational opportunities like webinars, lunch and learns, and conferences.
Since 2023, Jennifer has also served as a Condominium Board member for the community where she resides. In this role, she has dedicated time to review contracts, help the Corporation realize cost savings, and implement preventative maintenance strategies to support the long-term health of the property and the enjoyment of its residents.
108 – Repair, Maintenance and Change Fundamentals (February 25th– 7:00 PM)
Mark Raso, B.A. (Hons.), OLCM
Mark is a Senior Condominium Manager at Five Rivers Property Management Group. Following a career in experiential marketing, Mark joined the Five Rivers team in 2014. Since then, he has managed a portfolio of condominiums, from townhomes, mid-rise & high-rise buildings, vacant land, and common elements corporations. In December 2024, Mark was appointed Director of Client Development at Five Rivers.
Mark has previously spoken on various topics at CCI educational sessions, and has also been a guest on the CCI podcast. You will also see him every June at the CCI Grand River Chapter Golf Tournament.
Michael Clifton
After more than two decades as a lawyer practicing almost exclusively in the field of condominium law for developers, managers, boards, and owners of condominiums in Ontario, Michael has retired from regular legal practice (as of December 31, 2025) and now works as a mediator, adjudicator, and consultant with a particular focus on condominium-related disputes and drafting/interpretation of condominium governing documents. Michael is also a member and vice-chair of the Condominium Authority Tribunal, where he has been employed since its formation in 2017. Michael has written numerous articles and taught extensively on condominium law and related matters, testified as an expert witness in court in relation to condominium management, and has been a court-appointed condominium administrator. He is a past president of the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) – Golden Horseshoe Chapter, one of the original advocates for the creation of CCI’s Grand River Chapter, and is a former member of CCI’s National Executive Board.
